Society of London Lady Golf Captains

The Society was formed 66 years ago in 1957 as a partnership with the London Men’s Captains’. Membership is open to all Ladies’ Captains whose club of captaincy is located within a 35 mile radius of Charing Cross, irrespective of where they currently live or play golf.

The charity that I have chosen to support this year is "Spread a Smile".

The Spread a Smile charity brings joy and laughter to seriously ill children in NHS hospitals and hospices across the country.  Teams of entertainers – including magicians. musicians, artists,  fairies and therapy dogs, visit ill children at their hospital bedside, enhancing well being and  helping young patients and their families to cope with the pain and anxiety of serious illness and hospitalisation.

This year, Spread a Smile will deliver over 13,000 in-person bedside visits and over 2,000 virtual visits, in partnership with 37 NHS hospitals and six hospice partners.
